How does the micro surgery work?
Hair exits the scalp in groups. Each group of hairs that exit is called a follicular unit. Each follicular unit contains an average of 2-3 hairs.Dr. Bina uses his keen eye to detect the best donor site. Donor hair must be taken from an area not susceptible to future hair loss.
Dr. Bina uses a binocular microscope to dissect the hair follicular unit. He dissects the donor unit into small follicular grafts. These grafts are then implanted into the scalp. Dr. Bina will design the grafts to create a natural hairline. The entire process takes between 5-8 hours. Healing of the donor site and new hairline typically takes 10 days.
