What is the difference between medical hair loss management and surgical hair restoration?

There are specific hair loss conditions that don’t require surgery that can be managed by medication only. At the Orange County Hair Transplant Center, our goal for hair loss management is to prevent further hair loss and promote hair re-growth.

Simply giving medication may make it possible to prevent further hair loss and re-grow lost hair. After medical hair loss treatment plan begins, a person will typically notice a change in hair re-growth within 2 – 6 months. Nearly everyone is a good candidate for medical management.

Surgical restoration is a method in which the patient’s own hair is processed into follicular units and then implanted in the recipient site to create a new hairline.

Dr. Bina will analyze your individual hair loss, discuss expectations and outline your options.
